Your NDIS case noting assistant — a quick guide to get you started
Cora is your writing assistant for NDIS case notes. After a phone call, visit, or email, you tell Cora what happened in your own words (by talking or typing), and she writes it up as a professional case note that you can paste straight into Astlaty.
She also pulls out your follow-up tasks so nothing falls through the cracks.
Cora is a helper, not a replacement. She drafts notes for you to review and edit — you're always in control of what goes into Astlaty.
From the Dashboard or the menu bar at the top. This opens the note input screen.
Voice: Tap the microphone button and speak naturally, like you're telling a colleague what happened. Tap again to stop.
Type: Just write in the box — dot points, full sentences, whatever works. Don't worry about making it sound professional, that's Cora's job.
Tip: Try to mention: who you spoke to, how (phone/face-to-face/email), what was discussed, any actions, and timeframes.
Cora takes 20-40 seconds to write the note. You'll see a spinner while she works. Your rough notes are saved immediately, so even if something goes wrong, they won't be lost.
Read through the note. You can edit anything — fix names, add details, change wording. Cora does a good job but she's not perfect, so always check the details are right.
Tap the big green "Copy to Clipboard" button, then switch to Astlaty and paste (Ctrl+V). That's it — note done!
You can also tap "Approve & Save" to save the final version in Cora, and "Download" to save it as a text file.
After you've approved one or more case notes, Cora can read through them and pull out everything you need to do next.
Remember: Tasks are suggestions based on what Cora found in your notes. Use your professional judgement — if something's missing or wrong, just ignore it or give Cora feedback so she can improve.
Everything stays in your home. Cora runs on the Mac Studio sitting in your house. Your notes, transcripts, and tasks are stored locally on that machine. The AI model runs locally too — nothing is ever sent to the internet or any cloud service.
This means your participants' information is protected by design, not just by policy. Even if someone wanted to, the system physically cannot send data to a cloud AI.
You access Cora through Tailscale, which creates an encrypted tunnel between your devices and the Mac Studio. Only devices signed into your Tailscale account can reach it.
Having trouble or have suggestions? Tap Feedback in the menu — it goes straight to Jamie.
